Times of Israel reporter feared for his life in attack by Palestinian masked men

BEITUNIA, West Bank — I found myself seconds away from being beaten to death by a mob of Palestinian masked men during clashes in the West Bank town of Beitunia, north of Jerusalem, on Friday.

I’m not prone to exaggeration. It was a case of life and death, and I was within moments of falling victim to the kind of lynch that saw two Israeli soldiers who strayed into Ramallah in 2000 beaten to death by a baying mob.

I was saved by pure good fortune: Two plainclothes members of the Palestinian Authority security forces happened to be nearby and waded in to extricate me. I was already being hit and kicked from behind when they rescued me.

It's really too bad. Now he might have some deeper understanding of what it feels like to be a Palestinian every day under Israeli apartheid.

When was the last time a mob of Israelis attacked a palestinian in such a fashion?

I find it interesting that you jump to label price tag attacks "terrorism" (while they're certainly despicable they're essentially property vandalism, not attacks on people), going so far as to equate them with qassam attacks. Yet when presented with a case of a mob attacking a journalist your only comment is to sympathize with the perpetrators.

although the IDF was kind enough to kill the Palestinians outright.

https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/news/middle-east/11391-settlers-kidnap-and-torture-palestinian-children
But the Israeli settler only tortured the child so I guess it doesn't count.

But on the upside the Palestinian probably didn't feel the IDF bullet and was dead before he hit the ground.

She'll get over it.

The upside is that nobody died in this attack.

Same story. Death by IDF.

I guess that the IDF is trying to teach the Palestinians to hold their breath.

Two birds with one US-funded stone as the story goes.

I could go on but...

For any hasbarista that doesn't know when to shut up and wants to excuse away all the examples that I have laid out, all I can ask, and kindly ask mind them, is that they slither back under their purulent rock.

And if any hasbarista takes offense at my taking them to task and has to slither to the nearest jury my comments are purely non-directional in nature. Also, the articles are real but I do not condone hurting anybody.

Good fortune my arse. The PA security forces are present at all such demonstrations to keep a lid on them.
