Israel/Palestine
Related: About this forumThe New Indigenous Peoples Being Slaughtered
As in the invasion of the Americas, starting in 1492, racism is an instrument of war, countries are divided and ruined, and the few are profiting to the detriment of the many.
...
The indigenous peoples being slaughtered are the Palestinians, and the coveted commodity is gas. Israel's illegal conquest and occupation in Gaza means that Israel -- and the U.S, and Britain -- will be able to control and own more ill-gotten resources as it further disempowers Gaza, which is currently not much more than a concentration camp.
...
But it doesn't end there. Dick Cheney is also making an entrance. Genie energy, now has "exclusive rights" to a 153 square mile radius of the Golan Heights, an area to which Israel's administration is not recognized by international law.
Once again, Cheney is involved in illegal profiteering to advance corporate profits and U.S hegemony, contrary to the rule of international law.
And so the murderous cycle continues: Zionism, which is the antithesis of Judaism, is the new oppressor, the Palestinians are the new "Indians", and the conquest for riches subordinates all considerations of humanity and the rule of law.

(39,171 posts)Why does everyone ignore the fact that the largest gas fields are not off Gaza but are to the north and are clearly in Israeli waters?

(35,191 posts)The stereotype is that Jews are greedy and grasping, especially in stealing from the poor.
It doesn't matter that the rich Jews have scores of trillions of cubic feet of natural gas. They want what to the poor Palestinians is incredible riches. Because, well, that's what Jews do. They're all greedy and grasping, rapacious and devious. They're superhuman subhumans.
So I say that those who push this particular narrative--it's really about the gas--are perpetuating and spreading long-entrenched anti-Semitic racist stereotypes.
If nothing else, it irritates the poster.

(13,685 posts)The OP clearly was about Cheney and his grab for the gas.
What you wrote seems way off topic and flamebait.
It makes sense to me to not be throwing out such words as you have in these times.
