Isis Pledge to Join the Palestinian Fight Against 'Barbaric Jews'

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isis) has told the Palestinian people that it is "only a matter of time" before they reach Palestine to join the fight against "barbaric Jews".

The Islamic militant group, who last month announced a "Caliphate" straddling the Iraqi-Syrian border and renamed themselves the Islamic State, released the provocative statement on an Isis-affiliated Twitter account.

"It is only matter of time and patience before it [Islamic State] reaches Palestine to fight the barbaric Jews and kill those of them hiding behind the gharqad trees - the trees of the Jews," the statement read.

The group said it would do "everything within its means" to continue the fight against any obstacle on the way to "Palestine", alluding to the Middle Eastern territory before the creation of the State of Israel in 1948.

"As for the massacres taking place in Gaza against the Muslim men, women and children, then the Islamic State will do everything within its means to continue striking down every apostate who stands as an obstacle on its paths towards Palestine," the group said.

Would like to think the mothers of these children being sent off to die would rise up against the insanity. but they would probably be 'Stoned to Death' for speaking out against it

The Saudi King is still nervous, and he probably should be, IS had threatened him too.

A radical Muslim group is angry about what his happening to Muslims in Gaza and vows to get payback on Israel. Anyone surprised by this? Anyone?

Most people post news items of interest......Do you consider ISIS threatening to enter the Israel/Palestine conflict news, of interest or surprising?......Now if you had dug up an item saying they were going to support Israel or even not take sides, that would be worth posting.

6. Israel-Gaza conflict: What has Israel achieved in 26 bloody days?

World View: Hamas is stronger, the Jewish state looks shifty and heartless – and the world's eyes are on Gaza

As Gaza is devastated by a new paroxysm of violence, what has Israel achieved by its 26-day bombardment and ground intervention? The outcome so far is similar to that of past Israeli wars in Lebanon and Gaza: massive firepower is used to inflict heavy losses on the other side, the great majority of the casualties being civilians. But, as the war goes on, Israeli leaders find that Israel's military superiority is failing to produce comparable political gains.

snip* And, even if it did, the victory would not be conclusive since the Palestinian sense of oppression is so great that some other armed group, possibly in the shape of Isis (the self-tagged Islamic State), would soon take its place.

on land and on sea, it's an empty gesture. I'm not sure their help would be particularly welcomed, either. The last thing they need is more hotheads.

They're not fools and they're not looking to go back to the 7th century. IS is delusional and won't be able to govern. No one with any experience of them supports them for long, even the Sunnis that they are supposedly saving from the Shia.

I'm sure he doesn't give the same thought into differentiating between the 3 as most people here in DU do.

it will either be subsumed into the Caliphate or made a vassal state with no true independence.
