Nuclear deal would embolden Iran: Nasrallah

A nuclear agreement between Iran and world powers will strengthen Tehran’s role in the region, Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said Monday.

“Iran will become richer and wealthier and will also become more influential,” Nasrallah told Syria's Al-Ekhbariya TV in a live interview. “This will also reinforce the position of its allies.”

“A stronger and wealthier Iran, in the coming phase, will be able to stand by its allies, and especially the Palestinian resistance, more than at any other time in history.”

3. Hezbollah: Iran deal rules out specter of regional and world wars

REUTERS - The leader of Lebanon's Hezbollah said on Monday that a framework nuclear agreement that Iran reached with world powers last week rules out the specter of regional war.

"There is no doubt that the Iranian nuclear deal will be big and important to the region," Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said in an interview with Syria's al-Ikhbariya television.

"The agreement, God willing, rules out the specter of regional war and world war," he said.

The tentative accord, struck on Thursday after eight days of talks in Switzerland, clears the way for a settlement to allay Western fears that Iran could build an atomic bomb, with economic sanctions on Tehran being lifted in return.

But I haven't kept a list. Him and the Saudis have been calling each other names, over the Yemen war, among other things.

One senses a personal animosity between them.

I did see a full translation of a recent speech of his, which was very interesting, he really raked the Saudis over the coals, but it was on some obscure site and I'm not going looking for it now.

But I do think that hating on Israel (to various degrees) is a unifying force among disparate regional leaders in the Middle East.

Not because they fear it will fail, but because they fear it will succeed and leave Iran healthier and richer even without its nukes.

Because a healthier and richer Iran means more funding and weapons for Hamas. This, in turn, means upping the level of violent resistance against the Zionist Entity.

They are against cutting sanctions, they are against negotiations, and they are angry at P5+1.

What do you, as an adult, do with such recalcitrant behavior? Let them sit at the adult table and fling food at folks they don't care for?

No, they sit at the kiddie table where they can throw peas at each other when no one is watching.

Israel does not want any negotiation *whatsoever* with Iran.

Since negotiation is not palatable in any way, shape or form, what is Israel's solution?

What does Israel want? That is a candid question that I hope could be answered with equal candor.
