Interview: Former Georgia Rep. Cynthia McKinney, Democrat and Truther

Cynthia Ann McKinney (born March 17, 1955) is an American politician and activist. As a member of the Democratic Party, she served six terms in the United States House of representatives.

This show was broadcast on October 24, 2014.

Former six-term congresswoman and 2008 Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney is not your ordinary politician. Her uncompromising commitment to principled truth-seeking sets her apart from virtually all other federal office holders of my lifetime.

In this interview we discuss the ebola scare; the Empire’s ravages in Africa and Latin America; the “deep state” described in Peter Dale Scott’s The Road to 9/11 (Peter is on Cynthia’s dissertation committee – she’s finishing her Ph.D. work on Hugo Chavez); false flag events including 9/11; and whether Dr. Cynthia McKinney may run for president one of these years.

Rep. McKinney references the despicable Clinton glee at hearing of the death of Gaddafi. Here is that clip:

"Truther" Cynthia McKinney and the 9/11 Commission

Initially, McKinney kept a low profile upon her return to Congress. However, on July 22, 2005, the first anniversary of the release of the 9/11 Commission Report, McKinney held a briefing on Capitol Hill to address alleged outstanding issues regarding the 2001 attacks on the US.

The day-long briefing featured family members of victims, scholars, former intelligence officers and others who critiqued the 9/11 Commission account of 9/11 and its recommendations.

The four morning panels addressed flaws, omissions, and a lack of historical and political analysis in the commission's report. Three afternoon panels critiqued the commission's recommendations in the areas of foreign and domestic policy and intelligence reform.

An Atlanta Journal-Constitution editorial maintained that the purpose of the event was to discuss whether or not the Bush administration was involved in the 9/11 attacks, expressing surprise that McKinney was once again taking on the issue that was widely believed to have cost her her House seat.

Of course the 28 censored pages show that Rep. McKinney was right to question everything. I'd walk across broken glass to vote for Rep. McKinney. Real Hope and Real Change.

Our media worked night and day covering that incident, so that it would stand out in everyone's memory to the exclusion of her Capitol Hill 9/11 Hearings, or her grilling of Rumsfeld, or her re-grilling of Rumsfeld, and of Myers. Now our media is working hard on The 28 Pages and House Resolution 428, so your memory in those matters is also appreciated.

"About 513,000 results"

Cynthia McKinney was the presidential nominee of the US Green Party in the 2008 U.S. Presidential Elections. A former member of Congress from Georgia, she has had a notable career of giving left wing activists a bad name, in no small part because she's a conspiracy nut.

She was first elected in 1992 but lost her seat ten years later. Critics charged that her undoing came from claiming Bush knew 9/11 would happen but did nothing and getting documents released about the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur, but her father Bill blamed it on somebody else. She got her seat back in 2004 but lost it again when she slugged a Capitol police officer who attempted to stop her from going into a restricted area of the Capitol because he could not see her credentials.
[edit] 911 prior knowledge statement

Quoting from journalist Greg Palast: The McKinney "quote" was, indeed, all over the place: in the Washington Post, National Public Radio, and needless to say, all the other metropolitan dailies - everywhere but in Congresswoman McKinney's mouth. Nor was it in the Congressional Record, nor in any recorded talk, nor on her Website, nor in any of her radio talks. Here's the Congresswoman's statement from the record:

"George Bush had no prior knowledge of the plan to attack the World Trade Center on September 11."

Further in your tangential Greg Palast article "The Screwing of Cynthia McKinney":

Not a single major U.S. paper asked for the documents – not from the state of Florida nor from the BBC. Only one U.S. Congressperson asked for the evidence and made it public: Cynthia McKinney of Atlanta.

That was her mistake.

The company that came up with the faux felon list that determined the presidency: a Republican-tied database company named “ChoicePoint,” one of the richest, most powerful companies in Atlanta.

For some, it is very important that Cynthia McKinney be a target.

I fast-forwarded through this interview and as usual, Kevin Barrett strays too wide. Either I missed it (apologies), or he did not bring up The 28 Pages. This issue needs more catapulting.

46 Democratic Senators have called on the Bush administration to declassify the 28 pages of the Congressional 9/11 report that has been deleted from the public report.
Senator Charles E. Schumer, Democrat of New York, said, "Keeping this material classified only strengthens the theory that some in the U.S. government are hellbent on covering up for the Saudis."
