Chris Evans Says In Ten Years, We'll Be Ashamed Gay Marriage Was an Issue

Chris Evans is currently making the rounds to promote his role as Captain American in the upcoming Avengers movie (May 4th). We've already seen his sexy cover shoot for Details, and Evans also chatted with Playboy and was asked if he supported marriage equality.

"Are you kidding me? It's insane that civil rights are being denied people in this day and age," Evans responded. "It's embarrassing, and it's heartbreaking. It goes without saying that I'm completely in support of gay marriage. In ten years we'll be ashamed that this was an issue."

And our President should be ashamed now.

than those gorgeous laser-blue eyes.

It was "smart and kind" that caused me to fall in love with my baby. Laser-blue eyes and beefcake didn't hurt LOL. Looks don't last. Lovin' and cookin' do.

Seriously, young Mr Evans' kind words and good heart are deeply appreciated.

always supported marriage equality, and deny their years of opposition. He said in 10 years, not one of the former opponents will own the gumption to admit they were on the wrong side of history.
Funny that the denial started ahead of actual equality.

since contraception was made legal, and they're trying to take that away from us.

While I totally support gay marriage, don't be too certain that once that right is gained, it won't be taken away again.
