Related: About this forumPlease don't flame me. I am hosting an engagement party at a local winery for a dear friend
The usual games I know for engagement parties are not appropriate for a lesbian couple. Can anyone give me pointers on good engagement games ?

(75,480 posts)I'd say good conversation would be sufficient at a nice winery. Put some good wines out to taste and food presentations between the wine tasting. You could weave some stories about how they met, fell in love, etc. among all that.

(9,982 posts)Families and family history are good categories for us. Have some other categories too. and it also helps if the trivia master/mistress can tailor degree of difficulty to the player. (My sister saves the real skull-busters for me!) Lots of small prizes are better than I big one.

Just kidding.
I dunno anything about this. But I felt strongly to respond to your no flame appeal.
Here at DU we live together as one, no matter how many chairs are thrown across the room.
Go for it. Have fun.

(14,195 posts)We have reserved the winery and will have loads of finger food and nonalcoholic punch in my great grandmothers crystal punch bowl. It's just that part of my memories include games at such parties... I want everything to be perfect for our dear friend Lily....

(40,416 posts)We here at DU are a family of sorts. If there are problems, let us know who and we'll sort them out.
Hope you all have fun.

I just want it to be perfect for them, and the silly games i recall from my party would not work....
