Will Smith comes out for marriage for gay couples to support Obama

Men in Black 3 star Will Smith has said that the debate about wether gay couples can marry is all about “about semantics.”

Speaking to reporters in Berlin, he backed up Barack Obama’s personal pledge of support to same sex marriage as “brave” given that it is an election year.

Smith added “if anybody can find someone to love them and to help them through this difficult thing that we call life, I support that in any shape or form.”

Earlier, Jay-Z gave his support to equal marriage telling CNN: “I’ve always thought it as something that is holding the country back. What people do in their own homes is their own business, who they choose to love is their own business.

“It’s no different between discriminating against blacks. It’s discrimination.”
