Adam Lambert and Queen set for world tour in 2013?

Lambert joined Brian May and Roger Taylor on six dates across Europe this year, including three shows in London. Now, the band's keyboardist Spike Edney has revealed plans for a world tour at the start of next year.

"I’ve used [the keyboard] for six shows now," said Edney in an interview with KORGTV. "Looking forward to taking it around the world next year on a big tour. Fingers crossed!"

So what do you know... Two weeks ago the longtime bf and I called it splitsville and now this... Win? Yes. Epic win...

(PS the former is the reason I haven't been around much lately. That will change soon enough.)

Seems to be doing quite well for himself. And I take personal offense to the fact that you seem to want to shit on something that means a lot to me for reasons you don't understand. It is hurtful and you should stop.

Back in the 90's. There are a lot of talented singers out there who do justice to the music and to his memory.

In terms of US popularity I think Adam would take it further however. He has great name recognition with the youth of today. Not in any way to belittle George Michael's work though. I do enjoy him myself quite a bit.

I wouldn't say I'm happy with it, but when you've been in a relationship as intertwined as this one was, where we spent much of our time together, lived together unofficially, and had begun to build a life together, it's never easy to back away.

For what it's worth, neither cheated on the other or hurt the other. He had some lingering person stuff that needed to be dealt with. I don't feel comfortable talking about specifics publicly of course, but the reasons were good and unfortunate. Perhaps someday our paths will cross again romantically. Perhaps not. Either way I carry on, which is why I posted what I did.

...When I was younger I took much of my attitude toward being gay (coming to accept myself, etc.) from Freddie Mercury actually. His attitude towards being gay was very attractive to me. When I was young I'd look around and think well what the hell makes me so different from straight people? Why should I be treated differently. Freddie was very much, "here I am and fuck you if you have a problem with that", which I found admirable.

I adore Adam Lambert for much the same reason I suppose, besides vocal talent which is profound and looks which are shall we say spot on for what I like. He just doesn't give a fuck what people think of him based on his sexuality.

So I stumbled across some old videos on youtube and was wandering down memory lane. I had never had the opportunity to see Queen live while Freddie was alive. Queen had stopped touring when I was very young. To see both Queen and Adam Lambert together would be absolutely a dream for me for that reason. Freddie who I idolized and Adam who I respect for their insistence that they're going to live their lives their way and not give a fuck what others think of them. I owe a lot of my own coming to terms with myself to the role model Freddie was.

So I'll cross my fingers and hope they set up some North America stops.

Thanks for the kind words too. I'm always grateful for them!
