Prince Harry: I might experiment with gay men if my relationship doesn’t work out

Harry and his girlfriend, Cressida Bonas, were taking a night out together at The Rum Kitchen in Notting Hill on Friday, when Harry was slipped the phone number of Vincenzo Ianniello.

He reportedly accepted the number happily, and promised to call Mr Ianniello if he changed his mind about dating women.

Mr Ianniello later tweeted about the exchange: ”I gave Prince Harry my number tonight, he promised he’ll call me if he changes his mind about women. Or men. #epicwin”

I don't care about royal this and that one bit. But that is an enlightened male. I'm proud to share the Earth with someone who is both secure enough and confident enough to respond like that.

for everyone to embrace... he's saying (consciously or not) if I can choose to be gay if women don't work out, then gays can choose not to be gay. I think that's a pretty demeaning perception. It went right over the poor guys head.

The truth is that choice or no choice, there is nothing wrong with your sexuality.

if they feel like it, without recrimination. This does not mean that no one is born with a sexual orientation. It just means that it's nobody else's f*ing business.

and I think it's one to be respected. But I catch tons of hell on here for saying that. I'm told it's 100% biological, and 0% choice. As I mention and will repeat, regardless of choice, it should respected and honored. I think I worded my original response to reflect the things I'm told we are supposed to be learning to embrace about LGBT is that it is NOT and never has been a choice.

If you believe that people choose something that gets them discriminated against, then you're ignorant. If you've been told by gay people that its not a choice, then you need to believe them. Where do you get off assuming its a choice? Did you choose yours?

It's the same as being born with blue eyes or red hair, that's just the way it is.

Some people are heterosexual, some are homosexual, and others are bisexual. Perhaps bisexuals do have a conscious choice, but that doesn't apply to everyone. Not one of my gay friends feels they had a choice regarding their sexual orientation, it's just the way they are.

He's saying exactly what I'd say if a woman gave me her number. I'd be flattered and leave them feeling happy about themselves.

He gets in trouble for wearing NAZI uniforms and then does stuff like this. It must be very hard to grow up in the spotlight like he has and have pretty much zero chance of taking on a real royal roll.

12. What is a choice

Is how you live with it. Orientation is a spectrum and some people are pegged at the extremes, others are flexible. You can't deny that there are some people who could be happy with their gender. They then choose the community they wish to associate with but, of course, that may be decided on who they fall in love with which isn't choice.

Anyway, that's the language that gets people so wadded up. Those who are uncomfortable think that if someone kept it a secret they could choose to continue being secret or they will look at a bisexual and say couldn't you be like that and then choose to only do the straight bits?

You know what's a really good comparison? The whole black experience. Nobody chooses to the black but there's the choice of how to dress and talk. Many black people despise oreoes as selling out their own culture and many whites get worried when a black man acts too ethnic. Don't be angry! Don't rob me!

There's a real temptation to assign blame. Blame implies culpability which implies the situation is just desserts which means nobody has to do anything about it. You don't want to reap the punishments of sin, don't sin.

Including many who eventually follow through. What matters to me is that he doesn't dismiss it out of hand as a joke. He's secure enough in his sexuality to be comfortable.
