That is nice!

Who is singing it? Some commenter on YouTube said it was just a 45 slowed down (Dolly Parton), but I don't think so. Someone else wrote "Ron Pail" but I can't find anything on that person.

That's neat - I remember slowing a 45 down to 33 and it never sounded like that!

It sounds fabulous.

Dolly's version is the best, but the White Stripes used to perform a pretty good version too. It's been covered by tons of artists.

Here's a link if you care

Back in the day, Jolene was a bread and butter song that a duo I was in did almost every night for many years in honkytonks in the rural west. You just can't go wrong playing Jolene in country bars in the rural west, everybody loves it.

I never got tired of playing it, and still love hearing it to this day. It is on my mp3 player's favorites list, and every time I hear it, it still makes me smile.

Seriously though, sometimes a great song is just a great song. Heartfelt and catchy.

BTW, which part of the rural west?

across to central and eastern WA, inland Oregon, and a bit in N. Nevada.

Also played in rock bands that covered a lot more ground.

What do you call a rock musician who plays country music?

Employed.
