We all think an Absolutely Fabulous movie would be Ab Fab, says Joanna Lumley

JOANNA LUMLEY has given her seal of approval to going back on the Bolly and recreating the drink-hazed world of Patsy Stone in Ab Fab: the movie.

The actress, who played the hard-drinking, drug-taking, chain-smoking Patsy on television, said she would be there “like a shot” after Jennifer Saunders suggested the well-loved sitcom could be recreated for the big screen.

“It’s a lovely idea and Jennifer, that darling girl, has been saying this for a year,” said Lumley, 67, at a fundraising event for the House of Illustration’s Open Doors Campaign.

“I love that girl with all my heart. She could click her fingers and I’d be there, we’d all be there like a shot.

Even before AbFab. I discovered her in a low budget british sci-fi series called Sapphire and Steel. She was fabuous then and she's even more fabulous now!
