At first, Dayna Morales claim that a couple stiffed the New Jersey waitress on a tip and left an anti-gay note on the receipt fit a disturbing pattern. Her story went viral.
Morales, a former Marine, raised thousands of dollars in sympathetic donations for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Then, the couple denied the story and showed the public their credit card receipt
with the tip added in.
Now Morales is out of a job.
Gallop Asian Bistro posted a note on Facebook Saturday afternoon to announce the parting.
Despite news reports to the contrary, this is not a simple, straight-forward matter and we have conducted our own internal investigation, the restaurant said. The results of that investigation are inconclusive as to exactly what happened between Ms. Morales and the customers that night. However, in light of the investigation and recent events, both Ms. Morales and Gallop Asian Bistro have made a joint decision that Ms. Morales will no longer continue her employment at our restaurant. We wish her well in the future.

It seems pretty clear that it was included.
And now the ex-waitress needs to forward the $3,000 to the Wounded Warrior charity, which the report indicates has not been done.
