looking to move to a LGBT friendly area.

I'm in Columbus, and the city has lots of good points, active LGBT community, good health care, mostly liberal politics, reasonable public transportation. The negatives are the rest of the friggin state, and the cold grey winters. Can I find something similar? Thanks Irisblue
**after I posted this I remembered SAGE(senior action for a gay environment) and I'm checking them out for more info.

Down side is the weather, house prices, and crime can be a real problem. The city is pretty liberal, transportation is very reliable and it is a good place if you bike. I can't really speak to health care though.

Atlanta is another good place, but it is a HUGE city.

too far inland, I wanted to be by the ocean. I wanted to get away from the winters. A lot of people also like Wilton Manors in Florida. I looked there, but thought it a bit pricey for what one got, but of course that's all relative to what one wants to spend. It does have a nice community and is very gay. There are also a lot of active seniors.

There are a number of places in Florida people seem to like. Don't let Rick Scott scare you off! LOL! It is also a Purple state.
