Arizona's anti-gay bill... as reported in the Washington Post
Okay, maybe I'm feeling a bit raw since our basic rights seem to under multiple attacks from religious extremists, but the way this was reported in the Washington Post left me scratching my head. I'm providing just a few excerpts:

Arizona governor asked to nix bill angering gays
First, this is a bill to outright discriminate against gays, not one written to make us pout.
The conservative governor is already feeling pressure from the business community to veto the bill passed late Thursday. A prominent Phoenix group believes it would be another black eye for the state that saw a national backlash over its 2010 immigration crackdown law, SB1070. Opponents also pointed out that the legislation would serve as a major distraction as Arizona prepares to host the Super Bowl next year.
Now just what is this bill about? Oh, yeah, that must be it -- it's a distraction to the Super Bowl. A major holiday for all my LGBT friends. Nothing to do with being able to recruit workers, deal with benefits or pensions or the like. It's football.
Social conservatives and libertarian-minded members of the GOP believe the legislation protects the First Amendment rights of business owners who are expressing their religious beliefs.
The new legislation was passed over the shrill objections of Democrats who said it was clearly designed to allow discrimination against gays. All but three Republicans in the Legislature voted in favor of the bill.
Sad those First Amendment defenders were met by the “shrill” objections of the Dems. You just know anyone defending gays would be shrill.
Am I just being overly defensive here or is this piss poor/biased reporting?
