Related: About this forumLegal question regarding Scott Lively
Okay, we know that hatemonger Scott Lively is facing charges of crimes against humanity (which I think he will dodge) but my question is, doesn't he qualify as a terrorist? If not, why not? And if he does, can't the government revoke his passport? There's got to be some legal way to shut down his hate export business, especially when he promotes the imprisonment and even death of LGBTs in other countries.

(4,243 posts)1. That's an excellent question.
Any idea when the trial starts? I've read a little about it before, but I haven't seen any news about it lately.

http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2014/01/no_trial_date_set_in_scott_liv.htmlSPRINGFIELD - A federal judge set deadlines in the crimes against humanity lawsuit filed by a human rights group against local evangelist Scott Lively, however no trial date has been set and the next pretrial conference is not scheduled until 2015.
U.S. District Court Judge Michael A. Ponsor set a deadline late last year for lawyers to exchange discovery but put off deadlines to file final motions and disclose information about witnesses until next year. The next pretrial hearing is set for May 6, 2015.
That's over a year from now for the next pretrial hearing! In the meanwhile, he's conducting his hate business as usual. This is bulls**t. This man is a terrorist and is being treated as if he got caught stealing a cookie.
