You'll forgive me if I find this the height of hypocrisy

So now they're concerned about religious extremism and human rights in Nigeria? Yeah, okay. I guess not so much when the bishops and archbishops of the church were enthusiastically endorsing the vicious anti-gay policies of the Nigerian government, or when gays are being dragged out of their homes and whipped in the streets.

Bishop Pates to National Security Advisor: Help Nigerian Government and Faith-Based Institutions Counteract Religious Extremism in Wake of Kidnappings

May 9, 2014

WASHINGTON—The United States should assist the Nigerian government to promote national security and social development and should partner with civil society, especially faith-based institutions, to build social cohesion and stop violence, said the chairman of the U.S. bishops’ Committee on International Justice and Peace in a letter to National Security Advisor Susan Rice. The May 9 letter from Bishop Richard E. Pates of Des Moines, Iowa, came in response to the kidnapping of 276 schoolgirls in Nigeria by Boko Haram.

“The Church in Nigeria has called for continuous dialogue among political, military and religious leaders to end the violence, complemented by effective police and military action that brings perpetrators of violence to justice while respecting human and civil rights,” wrote Bishop Pates. as some understandable event. I think the US is going to work with Nigeria and Uganda, freeing up their forces to attack the LGBT population. They are going to assist Hitler so he can keep up the genocide while solving a crime that makes him look bad.
I think Goodluck Jonathan and his wife have a hand in the kidnappings. Foreknowledge at least. At least
What we know for sure is that all warning signs were ignored for months. In Feb, 41 students were burned in their dorms, that also did not get any attention. Another 40 in September, dozens more in July, the anti gay attacks as well, that was all shrugged off as acceptable, by Church and State.
