Some of these organizations have been promoting ideas that are not compatible with our laws, All Africa reports Mr Lokodo said yesterday.
He added: They have been hiding and pretending to be providing humanitarian assistance and research, yet they are promoting homosexuality.
We shall not tolerate and entertain homosexuality in Uganda. I am waiting for the outcome of the ongoing investigations.
We shall just suspend and close the operations of these organizations. We cant allow them to continue promoting bad morals.

Remember how lucky you are to live in the time and place that you do. Even with all our failings in this country, some places are so, so much worse off.

(87 posts)American religious fanatical Christian "missionaries" to thank for all this frightening news from around the 3'rd world and from Russia too.
It's just sickening.
When AIDS was first recognized and diagnosed in the 1980's, during the Reagan year, (diagnosed and the HIV infectious agents identified by US and French scientists about simultaneously, I believe), some religions were quick to begin support and social services to all victims of this illness, regardless of their religion or lack thereof. Despite the long silence of such world leaders as Ronald Reagan and others, we forged ahead in meeting that tremendous challenge.
Now, roughly 30 years later, we have this religiously-inspired backlash spreading like wildfire around the world. I can only shake my head over the shameful acts of so many Americans in actively promoting fear and retribution to victims of this disease.

(19,964 posts)Has his passport been revoked and if not, why not? Has the administration named him as one of the sanctioned persons? Why is it taking so long for his case (he is being sued for crimes against humanity) to come to trial? He's nothing but a filthy, hatemongering disgrace for a human being. The blood of thousands will be upon his head.

(87 posts)he is still free to preach his hatred and fear worldwide, and it seems to be effective.
If I were able to restrict his movements, by lawsuits, bills in Congress, or some other means, I would, but we pay the price for living in the most free nation in the world, and people like him are able to wreak havoc upon millions, worse than an epidemic, indeed aworldwide epidemic of fear and hatred and ignorance never before unleashed upon the world.
