but couldn't marry."

Miley Cyrus Speaks Out On Gay Marriage

Miley Cyrus has spoken out on the issue of gay marriage, explaining why she got a tattoo in support of the right of gays and lesbians to get hitched.

The 19-year-old pop star got a heart and equality sign tattooed on her finger last year to stake a stand on the issue, which is a bit controversial in the US.

And now she has used an editorial in Glamour magazine to explain her feelings on the subject in more detail.

"And you couldn't have that special day the way your friends do - you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person's shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach.
