1. We had a girl in high school that was bullied badly

She died a year after high school from a car accident. The many who bullied her went to the funeral. But Mom was not having that and kicked them out of the funeral. When asked, "she said they treated my daughter like shit and now they want to act like they miss her? No way!" I often think about her with these bully stories. I wish I were stronger back then to stick up for her, but I was weak and didn't want to be turned on by my friends. Certainly was not courageous back then even though I didn't bully her at all. I am just as guilty or more so then those who did. I don't think I will ever fully forgive myself over that.

Same way women dying in back alley abortions will when they start up again, and they will.

Now if they say it does NOT bring joy to them, then why in the hell do they do everything in their power to make CERTAIN this will happen?

3. While I have never been a fan of it, I am starting to think home schooling may not be all that bad.

Our public schools are not doing anything about bullying. I am not sure what they can do, however. FB is a whole other can of shitty worms.

4. We have a huge contingent of really ugly people in USA who make sure their children

are also this way.

Now some kids will react this way without any influence from anyone including parents because at a certain age understanding this nuance is tough.

So, we EDUCATE THEM, but can you IMAGINE the pushback from the bigots if you tried to do that

5. I have often thought that a "tolerance" class should be mandatory

Starting in Kindergarten. Imagine how many kids would learn to be friendly to each other if we started teaching tolerance and friendship classes at an early age. You are right, kids learn from parents and those who don't buckle to peer pressure.
