Supreme Court rules against clerk in gay marriage case.

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) — The Supreme Court on Monday ruled against the Kentucky county clerk who has refused to issue same-sex marriage licenses, and the clerk will arrive at work Tuesday morning to face her moment of truth.

Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis will have to choose whether to issue marriage licenses, defying her Christian conviction, or continue to refuse them, defying a federal judge who could pummel her with fines or order that she be hauled off to jail.

.
.
Justice Elena Kagan, who oversees the 6th district, referred Davis' request to the full court, which denied the stay without comment. Kagan joined the majority in June when the court legalized gay marriage across the nation.

Note that Kagan referred it to the full court and they denied it without comment! And, tomorrow morning she has to decide to issue the licences, quit her job, or face fines and jail time. Going to be interesting.

would get another job making that much money. Her family would be hurting if she gives up her job. Unless she has gotten money from the internet, I say her job (money) will win.

If she could retire I'd say she will do that if pensions eligible. If not, she will suddenly have amnesia and say I don't know what happened the last months.....whose next in line?

If she had any job in the private sector she would have already been fired. I don't think she should have the option of quitting.

She's just full of hate and this is like a chess game to her. My guess is that she's loving being in the lime light, and she sees herself as some kind of leader—when in fact, she's just another GOP-head filled with hate.

Sadly, there is one thing wrong with your post...she ran for the job as a democrat. Note that I'm not saying she is a democrat.

According to WAPO this morning, her mother was the previous clerk there for 37 years. I think the Davis family may feel a lot of entitlement, including the "right" to define that job as they see fit. I think that reign needs to come to an end now.

I want to see the video of those two nice guys successfully obtaining their marriage license.

May love win out, always and forever.
