1974 copy of The Early Homosexual Rights Movement(1864-1935) by John Lauritsen and David Thorstad. It cost $2.75, and an immense amount of anxiety for me to buy it.
In very good condition for the it's age.

(32,956 posts)Was not common, at least in my smallish town; truly I am suprised it was stocked then. Closets were deep and wide and filled. There was a Gay Bar Raid that summer in the near large town.
The research, writing and finding a publisher just 5 years after the Stonewall Rebellion/Riots meant that the ideas of LGBTQ civil rights, as history was fairly new in the US.
I couldnt have imagined
