Matt Bomer has gone public with his personal life.

The "White Collar" star spoke out about his partner and family this weekend at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards, where he was honored with the New Generation Arts and Activism Award for his work with HIV/AIDS.

"I'd really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry," he said referring to his publicist partner Simon Halls and their three children.

"Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment," he continued in his speech at the event in Palm Springs, Calif.

the writing is actually pretty clever, and the whole cast of characters very interesting.

being able to get married.

when matt's character first learns that the agent is gay, he says to the head of the new york white collar unit, "I thought it was "don't ask, don't tell?" the agent replies, "we don't ask, we don't care"

I confess, I can't watch White Collar because M.B.'s eyes scare me. I have often said he has "creepy, Ted Bundy eyes." [/shallow] So I'm relieved to find out he bears no resemblance to such a person. Phew.
