This was not my idea. I was surprised to log on this morning and discover that I was made a host of this group. I love the LGBTQ group and I do read here a lot, so I will be happy to help out as needed. However, I had earlier said that I was not interested in hosting here or anywhere on DU, and I don't want people to think that I'm going back on my word.

I'm not sure how to handle this. I will go along with the consensus of the group.

Edited to add that I am 17th in the host hierarchy of this group - that is, 16 hosts are above me - so I don't expect have to actually do anything! It's hard to imagine a situation where there was some kind of emergency and 16 other hosts weren't available to act.
