Would you like to see something that will lift your spirits and make you smile?

I found this very heartwarming--it gives me hope that the world isn't completely full of assholes. I would have put it up in Video/Multimedia as well, but they have a "no showbiz" rule there. Look how this couple wins over the audience in short order:

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Wonderful dancers and a very courageous couple.

This can only help with everyday, mainstream acceptance of same-sex couples as "ordinary" in all kinds of venues, and I hope we see much more of it.

They are clearly very happy together--a match made in heaven. It added to their performance, I think.

I don't know if it's a "schtick," and he does it to play The Guy We Love To Hate, or he really is a shithead, but don't let him ruin your day--everyone else, including the audience, got it. If he wants to be a small person with a ball of snark instead of a heart, we can leave him to it.

To think of that airing at any other time in my life is unthinkable.

And what courage it takes to put themselves out there like that on national tv to be judged not for how closely they adhere to the accepted norm but for who they genuinely, truly are.

Amazing.
