I admit, I've falling off the reading habit and haven't been keeping up with current Feminist thinkers and writers. I'll be first in line for any new release by Margaret Atwood or Marge Piercy...but who's gonna grab this old crones attention. I'm pretty persnickety and all the talk of waves and divisions just makes me a bit weepy. Last I read was some Naomi Wolf...

So spill ....who do you "follow", which blogs are your never misses and who will you fork over the bucks for at the book store?

17. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows...

As the only person in the world who never watched the movies and has no idea how it ends, I don't want any spoilers....

When it come to feminism, I don't really read anything apart from what I read in this group. My more heavy-weight reading moments are devoted to things like this book I'm starting after I finish Harry Potter called 'The Road to Martyrs' Square: A journey into the world of the suicide bomber' (Disclaimer: reading about terrorism doesn't mean I support it!)

18. I hope you love it

I got the play by play from my daughter who devoured the series while growing up. Of course I have seen most of the movies. I never read the books. My husband did so it became more of their thing together

I am thinking of starting the game of thrones series because I loved the tv show more than I ever expected. I have it on the kindle but really haven't made enough of an investment in it that it swept me into it yet. I would love to find something that would grab me from the get go and drag me along without a lot of effort. I long for some easy yet not simple reading

19. I wasn't expecting to, but I've been pleasantly surprised...

Last November I got dragged along to the Harry Potter Exhibition in Sydney not knowing the first thing about it, and horrified my sister by musing that Bellatrix must be a pretty cool character. So I got the Harry Potter box-set for xmas and ordered not to watch it till I'd read the books

I'm no help on the easy yet not simple reading. I just turned round and checked out my bookcase and it's groaning under books on the Middle East and stuff by Chomsky and Benny Morris. I'll keep an eye out for the game of thrones, though, coz once I'm done with Potter, I wouldn't mind something else lightweightish compared to what I usually read...

22. A LOT of drag in the "Song of Fire and Ice" series...

I'm on the 5th book.

The second book almost killed me, but the 3rd book really
hit it out of the park!!!

Fabulous!

(It may have helped that I was on vacation, and could really
sink into it for an hour or so at a time.)

I don't seem to be able to read as often as I used to, but
I blame the INTERNETS for that. DU specifically.

21. The last thing I read was a Stephen King novel,

but as far as feminist blogs I like I Blame The Patriarchy, Feministe, Miss Representation, About Face, Skepchick, and a few others I can't think of off the top of my head.
