I realize I'm not subscribed to this DU Group...but, I am a Feminist..

KoKo (since I'm not subscribed to your group...but, wondered if any of the rest of you are bothered by the "Celebrity Porn" that's all over our internet and even invaded the Political Sites along with just "me" looking at my 401-K on Yahoo Finance that I have to be subjected to this shit stuff.... Which not only demeans females but males because both are subject to Sexual Exploitation...imho....

Women have m/c all the time. I've had 5 in my lifetime and they are very sad, but I'm not sure I need to know that she had one. It doesn't really make me feel "bonded" with her or "close" to her - so I'm not sure what the point of the announcement was.

That being said - in this case, she appears to have chosen to talk about it rather than her privacy being invaded, so she kind of put herself out there. It does bother me that celebrities are so idolized that anyone feels we need to know so much about their lives.
