"should I take this?" and is phrased more like "what has been your experience taking this?"

None of us are doctors, so if you have any true concerns about whether you should take a drug, you should always talk to your doctor.

lead to interesting information, that info is all anecdotal.

I know that I personally have very strong opinions about all sorts of pharmacological things, but I'm somewhat reluctant to post such opinions here because I'm just putting that opinion out in the ether, and not having an actual dialogue, not having a true conversation, not getting immediate feedback.

So while you may well go ahead and ask such a question, be appropriately wary of the responses.
