I have a new personal rule on DU, I will not respond to a group of people here who always try to make things about me or always deny racism, misogyny etc. Many I know by name, some I am learning as we go on.

It is unhealthy to deal with them, at all, either here or in real life.

In real life do we seek out racists, men who hate women, etc?

No, we avoid them and if possible ignore them.

So this is my new rule for myself here at DU.

I have a history of heart problems, and I have to do this for myself.

Let's see if it makes me feel better.

There are things in life that I don't care for, so one of my strategies is

Avoidance.

I do leave room for people to evolve, I know I have all of my life. It's just not my job to see that they do..

The number one thing I avoid is drama.

So I need to alter what i wrote, you are correct they must be confronted.

I would love to see young, aggressive liberals here and everywhere doing just that.

I see some of it but we need more.

I only say 50 because I truly believe those of us who are older do jeopardize our health confronting them, to a degree anyway.
