There are still no lifetime caps.

Parents can still keep their children on their policy until age 26.

The exchanges still exist, enabling the self-employed and those who do not get health insurance through their employer to be part of a larger risk pool and thus possibly pay lower rates than buying an individual policy.

There are plenty of things the ACA did besides subsidizing premiums.

Can he do that with the tax bill too...sign an executive order to somehow make it happen if the Senate doesn't pass it? It wasn't already a law or a previous executive order by Obama. I do not trust him or the GOP ever.

I have been procrastinating calling my Covered CA providers since I can't handle any more bad news. That is a relief if I can get some of my subsidies still. THANKS

it turned out ok. I have the same plan (silver) from the ACA I had last year and my premium actually went down a little. From what I've read those with higher incomes are going to have higher premiums. I have been worried ever since dump got elected but from a personal point of view I feel relieved; eligible for Medicare in 10 months.

since the way they screwed the marketplace up the gold is now a good option since it is the silver plan that took the biggest hit and in some states the silver and gold will be about the same price now. When I was trying to figure it out Ali Velshi had a guest on his show and she said that the deductible and co-pays of the gold plan are better and some people might want to consider that option.
