Eschewing Big Pharma's many attempts to extract our $$$$

Doesn't it get to you after a while? You're standing in line paying for your groceries and the cashier asks if you want to "help the children." (They are getting rather vague these days, by the way.) I said "Help them with what?" Now that one was Easter Seals, which doesn't bug me. But sometimes it's for "research," which is MORE DRUGS!

No. Way. In. Hell. And I tell them that I don't give Big Pharma even more moola than they already get!

mean "more drugs." Not at all. Your reasons for not donating aren't needed. Just don't give if you don't want to.

I've never had a clerk ask for something vague. It's always very explicit, and it's never been for research.

Further, most of the research I know about has little to do with medications, and I know far too many researchers at a health science university.
