American Folk

On Amazon Prime. If you like a good road trip movie and folk music this is pretty good. Indie film about two strangers who meet up immediately after 9-11 in LA and wanted to get back home. They head back east in an old van and the rest is pretty heartwarming. I enjoyed the music and the kindness of those they encountered along the way. Brought back a lot of raw feelings from that day 19 years ago. One thing I came away with ....how did we, as a country, become so divided as we are now? Damn.

Sounds interesting. The divisiveness really is killing us. Hoyt Sep 2020 #1

There is worth seeing (to us)

Enjoying PBS's "Poldark" (Amazon Prime)set in Cornwall after Revolutionary War. Epic saga that moves quite fast. Plot not always believable but holds your interest.

Now that sounds good as well. We will have to check that out. We were going to watch The English Game next (started on Netflix in March). I read that series got rave reviews. Thanks for the tip.

British films set around war time.

The best I have seen of all was "Home Fires" PBS masterpiece theater. Think Amazon? Small town in England preparing for war. 2 seasons 6 episodes each.

Have noticed English game about soccer? Been meaning to check out.
