Current binge series: "This Is Not My Life" from New Zealand on Hulu Plus

In this sci-fi series, a man wakes up in a strange bedroom, looks in the mirror and doesn't recognize himself, and goes downstairs to find a woman and two children acting as if he's their husband and father. He runs out the door in his underwear to find himself in an unfamiliar, Stepford-like neighborhood.

He's pretty sure he's not who everyone says he is, but at the same time, he doesn't remember who he really is.

After some enigmatic encounters with the medical establishment and officialdom, he decides to play along, but he finds other people who have the same sense that they don't belong in this place. He tries to conspire with them, but someone always seems to find out.

That's as far as I have gotten.

1. OK, I've now seen the whole series, which was cancelled after a season

It could have used perhaps one or two more episodes, but on the whole, it's good that it ended where it did. We learned the fate of the main character and why he was sent to that Stepford-like existence in the first place. I would have liked to know what happened after the last scene and what happened to a certain character, but if renewed, the series could have been dragged out beyond its sustainable lifespan into ever worse storylines.
