An Honest Liar
I'm reading this book Sleight of Mind about how magicians, with their mastery of human cognition, are helping neuroscientists' studies, and one of the magicians mentioned is named The Amazing Randi. I remembered his name when I was flipping through Netflix documentaries and came across An Honest Liar.
What a terrific documentary. Randi's life has been fascinating, from his better-than-Houdini skills to his activism against charlatans in the psychic and religious arenas. That stuff kept me rapt, but the ending of his story really blew me away.
I highly recommend this film of an amazing man.
