WTF is wrong with YouTube?

I pay them to not show me ads, but I'm getting them anyway - not just at the beginning, but also in the middle of what I am trying to listen to. Has anyone else had this problem?

1. Check if you're logged in. You may not be. That's what it sounds like

Don't know for sure but I've seen that behavior with DU, for example, when I find my account has been signed out.

If not, then yes, that's messed up. I very much dislike how our computers and networks have been overrun with commercial advertising. Our lives are inundated with efforts to grab our attention and entice us to buy all the time, birth to death.

2. I use a free ad-blocker

Logged-in or not I never see ads here, on YouTube, drudge, nytimes, or really anywhere. I don't even get the porno ads on Piratebay or any of the other torrent sites.

Well worth what I paid for.

I was signed in, but apparently as someone else. I "switched account", and the problem seemed to go away for a while. But the problem recurred on one of my computers, and I had to "switch account" again.
