Was a Showtime series, ran for 2 years,(2003 - 2004) total of 29 episodes. On Amazon Prime now.

Dead Like Me is an American comedy-drama television series starring Ellen Muth and Mandy Patinkin as grim reapers who reside and work in Seattle, Washington. Filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, the show was created by Bryan Fuller for the Showtime cable network, where it ran for two seasons (2003–04). Fuller left the show five episodes into Season 1 because of creative differences; creative direction was taken over by executive producers John Masius and Stephen Godchaux. A direct-to-DVD film titled Dead Like Me: Life After Death was released on February 17, 2009,[1] with an option to restart the series.[2]

Eighteen-year-old Georgia "George" Lass (Ellen Muth) is the show's protagonist and narrator. George dies early in the pilot episode and becomes one of the "undead", a "grim reaper". George soon learns that a reaper's job is to remove the souls of people, preferably just before they die, and escort them until they move on into their afterlife. George's death leaves behind her mother (Cynthia Stevenson) and the rest of her family at a point when her relationships with them were on shaky ground.

The show explores the experiences of a small team of such reapers, as well as the changes in George and her family as they deal with George's death.

15. Pushing Daisies was outstanding.

Lots of Broadway stars in the casts with Kristin Chenoweth in all the episodes. It was a fun show, I had always hoped they would bring it back. I just rewatched a few a month or so ago. I need to get back before it disappears again.

28. Interestingly enough, both series were created by the same person, Bryan Fuller.

For a number of reasons, both somewhat successful series, only ran for 2 seasons. Dead Like Me did produce a straight to video film which is available on NetFlix that evidently kind of wraps up the storyline. I haven't watched it yet

I had no idea, in fact I really don't think I would have guessed from watching both.

I watched Pushing Daisies one in a while on Amazon, not sure if it is still there but probably not. I did not enjoy Dead Like Me as much when I watched it again.

5. I have begun recently re-watching and still love it. You know that 'George'

has not done much acting since then. I thought she was good!

8. She was good. Her career is a mystery....just looked her up on wikipedia.

As your chart shows, she's done nothing since 2013. Also no mention of what she's been doing in the past 6 years. Doesn't mention she got married and had kids. Hope nothing negative happened to her in her life.

12. My favorite shows are always some mix of comedy and drama

Because that’s what life is. The trend these days is to make shows as dark as possible, but it’s unrealistic. Your standard sitcom where everything is wacky hijinx and all problems are solved in 22 minutes is also unrealistic. Dead Like Me was a great example of my kind of show. It never got too grim, or too lighthearted. Plus it had Mandy Patinkin! What more do you need?

22. I really liked this show as well.

It initially kind of freaked me out. My housemate watched it and I'd leave the room. But it grew on me and a couple of weekends ago I ran across a marathon on some channel and watched it clear to the end. Great characters, especially George.

She seems like she has an infantile face and body of a 12 year old. Kind of strange to me. I guess the logical explanation is they wanted someone child-like. Kind of a turnoff.

bingeing it now. Strange little show, VERY quirky! It’s very loose, and goes off on seemingly unrelated tangents...I’m on episode 4 season two. But I seriously dig the opening theme, it’s now my ringtone, LOL! What an odd little show. I never even heard of it before this thread. Reggie’s MY favorite character, Dolores works my nerves...
