Steps 4, 8,&9

I found this list of behaviors that are present in a true and genuine apology on line.

_Expression of regret.
_Explanation of what went wrong.
_Acknowledgment of responsibility.
_Declaration of repentance.
_Offer of repair.
_Request for forgiveness

I've been thinking about these points as I work again my 4th Step, with an eye to 8th&9th.

My first time I did these steps, was taxing, emotionally and physically. I chose to write out an amends letter to someome one who is very toxic to me, but contacting them would be hazardous both to me and them.

As I do the foot work again, I realize how complicated an addicts life is.
