Hello Alpies - How are you doing this holiday season?

I've lurked this forum for a while but just "officially subscribed" in the past few days.

I'm a self-diagnosed Aspie. Not all the traits apply to me, but a whole lot of them do, and it's the closest description of what I've experienced all my life that I've ever found. So, I'm glad for this group and whatever support I can offer or receive here.

I've basically spent the holiday alone and remember holidays in the past that were better and more fun than this one. And I'm wondering how the rest of you are doing.

Warm wishes to you all,

I'm the mother of an Aspie, and have the good fortune to attend a conference with Tony Attwood as one of the presenters. One thing he stressed was that a person did not have to have all of the traits listed, just I forget exactly how many, but something like four or five of however many traits there are.

If you have a bunch of the markers for Asperger's, and its what makes sense to you and about your life, then you have Asperger's.

Welcome to the group.

I know that for many with Asperger's, things like holidays, because they tend to involve a lot of interaction with people, can be very stressful. The other thing is that as adults, especially if we do not live near any family, we must be creative about holidays.
