(sigh)

I'm not eating much solids, to be expected. I don't keep my condition a secret but I don't advertise it either, but the few friends that do know are often offering me alternative treatments - "B-17 - Works wonders, dropped my friends marker way down" and that kind of thing. I listen politely but I'm not chasing every alternative treatment out there. Yet they kinda get annoyed when I don't follow them up (it's only $30/mo, what have you got to lose?)

It also frosts me to sometimes go to GoFundMe for health issues, and seeing people trying to raise $x to take a month-long spa in Italy that they heard will cleanse them of toxins for stage II breast cancer. I'd like to go to Italy too, but these seem marginal cure possibiliities at best.

Hi, just wanted to give you support and encouragement. When I had cancer, I told my friends "cancer ain't so bad but the cure is a bitch." You sound like you're well grounded and smart. Take care and I hope you have many friends to see you through.

Our experiences and journeys are each so unique. What got my attention was "sigh." I couldn't ignore your suffering and felt a need to validate it.

Friends come out of the woodwork with miracle cures or diets. Or a plant tea or vitamin or "powerful protocol". Especially after you stop treatment. It's hard to politely say no and I know people of been frustrated with me but you have to do what's right for you. And trust me if someone's found the miracle cure for cancer we would know about it!

For me lately, the best medicine has been Ben & Jerrys. I've decided to make sure I taste every flavor before I die- off to goal as the have so many flavors! And also the nibbling at my "special" cookies of the "special" candy a friend sent from Colorado-some days its just nice to have a little buzz on.

Tab- it's really good to hear from you! I think of you often and wonder how you're doing and coping with this crazy adventure.

I'm still here in my pleasant purgatory currently catching up on TV shows moving from my bed to my lounge chair. Pretty tired most of the time now I can really feel that my body is weakening fighting for so long. A terrible reaction to a blood transfusion almost killed me on top of everything else.
I managed to have a small birthday gathering the other night which was wonderful – even drank a glass of wine. Now I find myself sleeping a lot (I am always exhausted can never catch up on sleep), but when I'm awake I'm trying to make the most of it with select visitors, good movies, and getting back to writing and of course watching for pelicans over Biscayne Bay. Meditating when I can.

Please let us know how you are doing and any updates that you care to share. If you want to exchange favorite flavors we can do that too!

Cheers

PS When I'm not eating solids, i discovered fees 25g, organic chocolate fudge protein drinks which I blend with ice cream and sometimes even some fruit. If you're interested I'll send you the name.

Hi Karyn!

A friend of my mechanic's cousin best friend's recommended the miracle cure - she had stage 0 breast cancer and took a daily regemin of B-17, slurry of smoked salmon, bottle of acai juice along with a non-alkaloid of chia seeds, carrot and coconut juice day (for potassium) and 100 grams of Percocet to make it all go away.

Let me know how it works for you. Interested in trying it myself.
