After 25 years of having my hands in hot water and surgical soap constantly at work, my nails were trashed. They all have vertical cracks that spit off anything that grows much past the edge of the cuticle.

So I keep them short. If I'm sewing and drop pins, I scoop them up with a fridge magnet. It's cheap and dirty, I can always find it, and it works like a champ.

If I catch someone looking down her long blue nose at my unmanicured nails, I just tell her it's a manicure for hands that have to work for a living.

I've had a couple nails that began splitting 20 years ago and have tried many oils and waxes to no avail. What does the Blue Goo do for you?

stays on - I use it like lotion on my entire hands, it will last all day and a little blob will do - definitely put it on before bed. Work it into your nails.
Emu oil is very healing - Blue Goo is only available at some Walmarts or online at BlueGoo.

I would also recommend you up your magnesium via transdermal therapy with Magnesium chloride.

I make my own with flakes and unscented lotion vs spraying it on. Not as messy....
This is my favorite brand. http://www.ancient-minerals.com/products/?gclid=CPTayOD-ubYCFY4-MgodczMAAw

If you live where there's a Whole Foods, they carry it in spray bottle if you just want to try and
then move on to flakes to save money. It's fairly cheap and does a body a world of good.

It completely cured me of migraines - and my nails are lovely and real.
Your sleep will improve too....Amazing stuff
