Very anxious today

Mr X has Barrett Esophagus. He's seeing the PA who ordered the test in July. I'm assuming if it was cancer or pre-cancer, they'd have contacted him sooner than a July appointment. His patient portal result just said BE

Today, I feel like I'm jumping out off my skin. Even took Xanax.

But what is, is. Maybe they’re being extra cautious..getting stressed w/o the facts is not gonna change things. Think positive and let us know how the both of you are doing. 🫶

I've had several esophageal dilations and biopsies due to a Schatzki ring and it was indeed nerve racking.
Sending positive vibes your way!

Hiatal hernia. That is what I had that caused the Barrett’s. Got to the point I was having heartburn from drinking water. Was taking lots of Tums. Like I said before that was 30 years ago.
Make sure he stays away from onions and garlic. It’s now over the counter, but Omeprazole is my life saver. Get some and have him take it every morning now. If I forget to take it, I know because I get heartburn by noon.
Hope this helps and I know everyone is
different.
In the meantime don’t make any spicy food and don’t eat after dinner time.
Helps to focus on what you can do, rather the unknown future.
Good luck.

If the follow up isn't until July, I'd take that as a good sign.
