with a shower of cilantro, plus guacamole and chips. It's cool and rainy here today and chili seems just right.

Pasta with Cauliflower in a spicy pink sauce!

We usually only eat meat for dinner a couple of times a week, anyway.

I really like this - the rest of the family, not so much. I was going to make it for dinner yesterday but decided I was too tired to cook and we got pizza

I saute onion and garlic, add Italian herbs, a small zucchini sliced thin, a can or less of cannelini beans, some sliced black olives, simmer together and serve, usually over bowties, tonight I have part of a box of rotini and part of a box of shell pasta. Parmesan on top.

Hope all of you are having as nice a spring day as we have here ....

browned and cooked in a mushroom gravy, served over elbow macaroni, with sauerkraut and spinach sides.

Well, then I actually fried some talapia in olive oil, and made some mac & cheese out of the leftover macaroni. Meant to have it for dinner tomorrow, but had to "taste" it. Taste = second dinner.

God, I'm bad.

with sweet onion and lots of pickles

on the side, pickled beets, deviled eggs, crunchy carrots, and baked beans for those who can eat them.

....and I'm making a sour cream, brown sugar apple coffee cake with whole wheat and reduced sugar. Need to use up some more of the frozen apples from last year's farmers market stash.

The Madster and T-man had cheesey garlic bread but I had a side salad.

I love doing the uncooked sauce in the summer and my kids eat it so it's all good.

We had a very good dinner with a lawyer friend of ours. Mr. C made:

room-temp carrot soup which had other vegetables in it, too
turkey tenderloins in red herb sauce
fennel, yellow tomato and baby arugula salad

We knocked off a few bottles of rose' and a tempranillo (sp?).

For dessert, cream puffs and dark chocolate with fruit and nuts in it.

We had a good conversation but also managed to watch Lilyhammer and then an episode of DaVinci's Inquest after dinner.

Fun evening.

Now I have to go clean up the kitchen.
