I cooked up a pound for sausage gravy and it rendered very little grease. I had to add a Tbls. of bacon drippings to make gravy.

I add bacon grease or butter.
I think it changed about 10 or 12 years ago.
Anyone who uses sausage to make sausage gravy would definitely notice.
A lot of my family members have mentioned it.
