he serves with vinaigrette. I like that salad, too, and it's good with Caesar salad dressing.
Interesting that he puts tarragon on it. Most people don't grow tarragon.

(18,241 posts)3. I don't think that's actually Sanders' recipe. Based on an interview in WaPo,
the author of "6 Recipes for Bernie Sanderss Favorite Foods" suggested dishes he might like based on some of his favorite foods and ingredients.
The same story from The Washington Post highlighted Sanderss love for fresh produce, particularly tomatoes and avocados. Both ingredients are delicious and healthy in their own right, but theyre even better together. Try the combo with this easy salad from Foodie Crush. Its also just as delicious with different herbs, so feel free to experiment.

There's a link to Heidi's (she doesn't give a last name) recipe on her Foodie Crush website. She adapted the recipe from a salad served at her favorite Cuban restaurant.
Inspired by an avocado and onion salad my husband and I came to crave from a favorite Cuban restaurant (and that I always asked for tomatoes to be added to), Ive embellished their inspiration and made it my own with creamy avocados, onion, homegrown tomatoes and lick-loving licoricey-tarragonjust cause Im an herb-loving kind of girl.
