We used to go the Virginia state fair when it was here at the racetrack. They’ve moved out into the middle of nowhere.

I was always impressed at the number of categories for different talents. Photos bonsai trees knitting you name it.

6. All decorating contest entries aren't made of cake. We use

cake dummies, cake pans, or styrofoam. The cake started as a 4" x 14" square and a 4" ball of styrofoam. Then came 8.5 pounds of fondant. It will keep it's shape forever or until the fondant is pried off under hot water.

I looked at all the pictures of your cakes that you posted here. Boy, was I impressed! I made a clown cake once, for my boys' birthday. They thought it was a snowman. There is a huge difference between a clown and a snowman.
