What's for Dinner, Sun., Oct. 10, 2021

My brother is flying back tomorrow, so since he has never had a White Castle burger, he wants one. I think a burger sounds good, too, but I only want an Impossible burger or a Beyond burger.

Earlier we made soy-balsamic chicken wings. That turned out to be a good recipe I'd make again. We had Buffalo wings last night but decided to hold off until today on the soy-balsamic.

In addition, watercress salad with pears and walnuts. Blue cheese dressing.

Dessert: Spicy Good Earth tea; decaf coffee for my brother. Pumpkin sponge roll filled with cream cheese.

Pork loin because it was cheap (2.60 for 1.5 roast), roasted Brussels sprouts, red cabbage. Dessert-cannoli ice cream with tiny chocolate chips. It did take me back to a side street in Florence waiting for the bus to take us to Impruneta.

Or “Cottage Pie” as the Irish call it.

Smells wonderful!

Annie's Enchiladas, mexi-rice, guacamole, cornbread. The latter 3 items I made earlier in the week and froze. Like to keep it simple out here.
