Stir-Fried Soba and Vegetables

Using either a buckwheat noodle with 40-60% buckwheat content or udon noodles.

Veggies are matchstick cut carrots, green onions (grown by yours truly), snow peas, napa cabbage. The usual ginger, sesame oil, etc.

Dessert: I didn't get around to trying my ice cream last night, so I'll have some tonight. I'll also have my new "coffee," which is maca chocolate chicory.

1. Whatever the chef (SIL) orders - it's Game Night!

2. It's the standard fare but with a new 1/4 chicken

brown rice, carrots, broccoli, scallion, kale, 1/2 a white onion, garlic, fresh from the garden oregano

Dessert I'm in the mood to bake some ginger cookies tonight

3. Leftovers

Roast chicken leg quarter
Spinach salad
Baked potato with sourcream

Klondike bar, the no sugar added variety.

FLFC had some leftover pot roast, but claimed much of my chicken. He's been asking for outs often. He's enjoying the scents these cool breezes are bringing. I was laughing at the Pomeranian weather vane. He pivots to face the wind.

4. Chicken

My son is coming to visit for a few days and requested fried chicken. The Landlady(!) is tired so I’m making boneless and breaded chicken breasts in Grandpa’s cast iron skillet. Topped with lemon and capers and roasted garlic. Iceberg lettuce salad with ranch dressing and roasted red potatoes on the side. Slices of orange for dessert.

5. Soup and Sandwich

Grilled Gouda cheese on home-made sourdough with Campbells tomato soup. Apple sauce for dessert.

7. My kids came over

for spaghetti with meat sauce and mushrooms, garlic French bread (I always burn the bread and today was no exception), and fresh asparagus. We had my freshly baked banana bread with walnuts and powdered sugar for dessert.
