strawberry or blueberry pancakes or waffles. I wonder if the batter would somehow rehydrate them?

I soak them in warm water for a few minutes and then drain them before I add them to the batter. They don't color the batter like fresh ones do.

Let's see--bark comes to mind: melt white chocolate with a little cream then stir in the fruit and spread in a pan until solid. Soak the strawberries in balsamic vinegar and add to a salad. Soak the berries in your liqueur of choice and serve over ice cream. So many possibilities--lucky you!

my neighbors used to dehydrate fruit for me because I am allergic to sulfur, the preservative of choice on dried fruits. I had a few days to eat them.
