near the yogurts in the super market.

It's not easy to find, though, they run out quickly.

We went to a Thanksgiving dinner where a young man made a 12 layer jello dessert because his mom had always served it. It took him many hours but it was a pretty rainbow, he was very proud, and we enjoyed it.

The Jello-o 1-2-3 was different because each layer had a different texture, with the top layer being nearly foamy.

10. Jello Easter Eggs

My mother used to make Jello easter eggs. This was way back in the 50's. Several weeks before Easter, she'd start saving egg shells, blowing the egg out a tiny hole in the end. There were six of us kids, so it took quite a few, Saturday before Easter Sunday, she made up Jello in several different flavors and filled the empty egg shells with the Jello.

For Easter Dinner, she made a White cake and around the edge of the plate, she'd sprinkle coconut that she colored green with food coloring. Then she'd put the jello eggs (which she'd shelled) around the cake. We kids thought that was wonderful. What a nice memory, simple things are the best.

I wasn't aware it came prepackaged, but I do recall it being made at home. Something was done to get a second layer, but I don't recall what. And yes supermarkets used to sell this made up. I haven't noticed it in a while.
