Not sure where yet, but I hope my restaurant curse doesn't tag along! I have a restaurant curse that makes wherever I eat out a terrible experience, either because I ordered the wrong thing or because the restaurant is just bad. It's gotten to the point where I have whomever I'm with taste what I'm eating so that I know I'm not one of those chronic gripers that are so irritating. They always agree that my food is pretty bad. Every once in a while, though, I'll have a good experience, so I hope that's true this time.

3. Do you ever check out restaurants on the web before you go?

I do this pretty much every time so that I can pick up recommendations on what a particular restaurant does well and what they don't do well.

I've got broccoli, carrots, onion, napa cabbage and tomatoes. Want to make it really saucy and put over rice. Should be good re-warmed as well or I could blend into a soup tomorrow.

How the heck are you?

It's a neat side for a BBQ. Goes great with grilled pork. Outside cooking time is almost here.

(aside) Come warmer weather we ought to have a running "Outdoor cooking / BBQ" thread. Could be fun.

and prepping for tomorrow: told the wife I will cook tomorrow.
pan seared swordfish with sauteed spinach, baked sweet potato, and maybe
try roasted Brussels sprouts. (that will be a first I hate boiled sprouts and so does the wife, but have seen it done a couple of times and roasting sounds like it might be good. maybe make up a nice white garlic sauce or something. experimenting here.) and maybe a small salad, maybe not. this seems like a lot of food, may just save the salad for another day.

I like fruit in jello a lot. The box says not to use fresh pineapple or kiwis, my two favorite fruits. Have any idea why not?
